Fall color reflections - Bear Mountain State Park is a 5,205-acre state park located in Rockland and Orange counties, New York. The park offers biking, hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming, cross-country skiing, cross-country running, sledding and ice skating. Bear Mountain State Park is situated in rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River.
The park has a lake in the middle and one can hike the loop trail surrounding the lake. There are also spots along the loop where families can get together, have picnics and barbeque. It was quite a bit of contrast for me to see kids running around on one side and the quite, deep reflection of the mountain with its multi-colored trees on the other side.
