Ain’t Life Grand?
Silent and Serene Tetons Reflections in Leigh Lake
Leigh Lake is located in Grand Teton National Park, in the U. S. state of Wyoming. The glacially formed lake is 2.4 miles wide and 2.8 miles long from north to south. Situated just southeast of Mount Moran, the lake is at the terminus of both Paintbrush and Leigh Canyons. Hiking along the eastern shore of String Lake and beyond brings you to the southern end of Leigh Lake, accessible only by trail or by non-motorized boat. This allows for quieter, less populated lake and mountain views on a relatively flat, easy trail.
The feeling that I had when I saw Tetons for the first time was that of nature’s immensity and spectacular awe. It evoked a feeling of majestic wonder, a profound sense of peace, and a powerful connection to the natural world. I have no words to describe the stillness I felt sitting in front of this lake and admiring Teton’s reflections - hopefully this picture inspires you to visit this place atleast once.
